Chemical peels can help a variety of skin concerns. It can help with texture, tone, redness, or to even help stimulate collagen. Our skilled medical estheticians will choose from the three main groups of chemical peels: medical, enzyme and advanced enzyme to best suit your needs.
This is a more advanced enzyme peel that is beneficial for aging skin, pigmentation and acne prone skin. This peel is composed of lactic acid, salicylic acid and resorcinol to reduce appearance of fine lines, smooth rough textured skin, reduce acne blemishes and correct uneven skin tone. Resorcinol is a heavy exfoliator and brightening agent that is a derivative of phenol.
The Image Wrinkle Lift is an enzyme peel that consists of an anti-aging glycolic acid and retinol blend. This blend visibly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while leaving skin firm and revitalized. Stem cells reduce irritation while botanical lighteners in an aloe vera gel base corrects, repairs and rejuvenates aging skin.

This extra strength enzyme peel is ideal for treating more advanced pigmentation, sun damage and melasma. This peel is composed of 50% Lactic acid for a boost of added exfoliation, lightening and hydrating power. The organic aloe gel base, plant-based stem cells and kojic acid help reduce inflammatory hyperpigmentation, stimulate new collagen, and leave your skin with more even tone and radiance. This peel also has antioxidant and antiseptic properties to protect the skin while it heals.
The Wrinkle Lift Forge is an extra strength Wrinkle Lift enzyme peel that is used for more advanced signs of aging, that include deeper wrinkles and loss of elasticity. This peel contains the same ingredients but is formulated with 45% Glycolic acid for an added boost of exfoliation, as well as an innovative blend of firming and anti-aging properties.
Contains salicylic acid, lactic acid and resorcinol (works by breaking down hardened, rough or scaly skin, can be used to treat acne, eczema, psoriasis) and is a self-neutralizing peel. This peel stimulates epidermal elasticity, and patients tend to experience more frosting and sheeting with this peel. This peel is suggested for retexturing the epidermis, and helps with pigmentary (such as melasma, hyperpigmentation) disorders, aging skin, evens out skin tone, and superficial acne scarring.
TCA or Trichloroacetic acid is a peel that is used to retexture the surface of the skin, corrects fine lines, superficial scars, and minimal laxity and pigmentation issues. It creates softness and smoothness without sheeting. This peel is also beneficial for patients of all skin tones and skin types.
This peel is very helpful for treating acne and blackheads, as it helps unclog pores and decreases the amount of oil on the skin while also acting as an antiseptic. This peel can also help fade pigmentation and soften fine lines. While this peel is generally used on oily or acneic patients, it can be used to combat signs of aging and can be used safely on all skin types and tones.
This peel is suitable for most skin types, and is ideal for aging, dry and sensitive skin types. This makes the Lactic acid peel a great choice for someone that is new to peels. Compared to other peels, Lactic acid peels are the gentlest, and do not cause discomfort to the degree that some other peels can. Lactic acid peels gently exfoliate skin while deep cleaning pores, and do not cause noticeably strong peeling. Most patients will experience minimal to light flaking with this peel.
This peel helps increase collagen production, reduce the appearance of fine lines, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, and large pores. This peel is effective in combating active acne, as it helps to clear blackheads and reduce acne and oil on oily/acneic skin. Glycolic acid targets layers of bacteria, dead skin cells and breakout-causing dirt and buildup to help reduce acne.
The Red Carpet Peel is suitable for all skin types and effective for countering melasma and other stubborn hyperpigmentation issues, acne, scarring, skin discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles and rough texture. CHEMICAL PEELS:
Pre-treatment instructions:
· Patients can benefit from using retinol to prep for a peel. Retinol thins the top layer of the skin, which helps increase cell turnover, and helps the peel penetrate deeper into the skin. However, it is recommended to discontinue using retinol a week before the peel. Failure to discontinue retinol approximately 4 days to a week before a peel can result in over-irritation of the skin during and after the peel.
· No peels should be performed if you have been on Accutane within the past year.
· No peels should be performed if you have had laser resurfacing surgery within the past six months.
· No peels should be performed on anyone that is pregnant or lactating.
· No peels should be performed if you have active herpes, any autoimmune disorders, have had recent chemotherapy or radiation treatment, currently have sunburn on the desired area of treatment, have broken skin or have recently waxed or used depilatories on area to be treated.
· Avoid receiving injections for 10-14 days before chemical peels and 10 days after.
MICRONEEDLING:
Contraindications:
Post treatment instructions:
· Moisturizing is important after a peel since your skin will feel dry. Apply moisturizer whenever your skin feels tight, dry, or itchy.
· Do not peel or pick at flaking skin. Peeling or picking at flaking skin can result in pigmenting or scarring the skin.
· Do not exfoliate, scrub, or wash skin with hot water throughout the length of healing time, as we want the skin to peel naturally on its own time.
· Products with a high percentage of botanicals and essential oils are not recommended for use post treatment.
· Products that are nourishing to the skin and will not have a low pH are recommended for post treatment care.
· Sunscreen is very important! Your new skin that is being revealed post peel is especially sensitive to the sun. If possible, completely avoid the sun until you are finished healing. Apply a minimum of SPF 30 multiple times per day if you are going to be exposed to any sunlight. You can even get sun exposure while driving or riding in a car.
Effects of peels:
· Effects of peels can include redness, swelling, peeling, dryness, stinging, scabbing, itching and flaking.
· Excessive burning, itching, and rashes can be associated with an allergic reaction or patients with very sensitive skin.
· Blistering can occur if the peel is left on for longer than recommended or when the peeling agent is too aggressive or the skin type. Generally blistering does not cause permanent damage to the skin.
· In rare cases, patients may experience permanent darkening or lightening of the skin or scarring and infection. These risks can be significantly reduced by following all pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions.
· Please contact our office if you experience any of the above symptoms.
